Bath Salts (Mephredone and MDPV) Urine Laboratory Drug Test Kit

CASE QTY:

Our bath salts laboratory urine test kit detects the 2 most common synthetic stimulants in bath salts - Mephredrone and MDPV using a simple 3ml urine specimen.

When you purchase this kit, you will receive all the necessary tools to easily collect and ship a urine sample back to our laboratory for analysis. This includes a sterile collection cup, a plastic shipping sleeve, a chain of custody form and a prepaid shipping label. This test is perfect for use at home, in schools or in the workplace.

Bath salts contain Mephedrone and MDPV (methylenedioxypyrovalerone), two of the more common synthetic compounds that produce a hallucination effect and this test utilizes a state of the art high performance test method called liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) to detect both compounds.

"Bath salts" are ingested by means of being snorted, injected, or smoked -- primarily by teens and young adults -- due to their widespread availability on the Internet, local convenience stores and smoke shops.

How does this test work?

Our Mephedrone and MDPV Bath Salts Urine Test quantifies the presence of the two main bath salts compounds in urine down to 1ng/ml of urine using a highly accurate technique called liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry.

What is Mephedrone?

Mephedrone, also known as 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC) or 4-methylephedrone, is a synthetic stimulant that reportedly enhances mental and/or physical function. This synthetic drug comes in a variety of names, such as meow meow, Meph, Drone, M-cat, bath salts and plant food. Its side effects include: alertness, restlessness, euphoria, excitement, openness, sex drive, stimulation, decreased hostility, improved mental function and mild sexual stimulation - effects that are similar to the effects of cocaine, amphetamines and MDMA. Mephedrone may come in the form of capsules, tablets or white powder that users may swallow, snort, inject, smoke or use rectally.

What is MDPV?

Meanwhile, MDPV (methylenedioxypyrovalerone) is a designer drug of the phenethylamine class. It is structurally related to MDMA and also to cathinone, and is known for increasing dopamine levels. The acute side effects of DMVP include tachycardia, hypertension, vasoconstriction and sweating. Higher doses of MDPV reportedly cause intense, prolonged panic attacks in stimulant-tolerant users. The duration of the subjective effects of MDPV is about 3 to 4 hours with the side effects continuing a total of 6 to 8 hours after administration.
