12 Panel Drug Test Facts

Our 12 Panel DrugConfirm™ Advanced Urine Drug Test Cup offers instant, repeatable results clinicians, workplaces, and government officials can trust. This CLIA-Waived 12 panel drug test identifies drug metabolites in urine specimens, and includes a built-in adulteration strip to detect 3 different adulterants as well.

What Does a 12 Panel Drug Screen Test For?

A 12 panel drug test, i.e. DrugConfirm urine test cups, can identify metabolites of 12 different drugs of abuse in a matter of minutes:
  • Amphetamines (AMP)
  • Barbiturates (BAR)
  • Benzodiazepines (BZO)
  • Buprenorphine (BUP)
  • Cocaine (COC)
  • Ecstasy (MDMA)
  • Marijuana (THC)
  • Methadone (MTD)
  • Methamphetamines (mAMP)
  • Morphine (MOR)
  • Oxycodone (OXY)
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)

This test also detects the presence of three adulterants include:
  • Creatinine (CR)
  • Oxidants (OX)
  • Specific Gravity (SG)
As an added feature, our DrugConfirm™ Advanced Urine Drug Test Cup includes additional testing for adulterants, to further prevent or detect any falsified tests. This urine drug test is used everywhere as a full coverage urinalysis solution.

12 Panel Drug Test Instructions for Use:

1: Remove test device from the foil pouch and label the cup with the donor's information.
2: Remove the test cup lid and have the donor urinate directly into the cup, making sure to provide a urine sample that's a minimum of 30ml to a maximum of 110ml.
3: Once the donor has collected the urine sample, ask them to securely place the lid back on the test device, then return the test to the collection official.
4: Peel back the label to reveal the test panels and verify the adulteration strip against the color chart provided. If results indicate that adulteration has occurred, discard the test cup without reading the drug test results and repeat steps 1-3, instructing the donor to recollect their sample with a new test cup.
5: Read the results at 5 minutes. Results read after 10 minutes should be considered invalid.

How to Read the Adulteration Test Results:

1: You can read the results of the Adulteration Test Immediately after collection.
2: Visually compare the color of each reagent area to its corresponding color blocks on the color chart.
3: Obtain results by direct color chart comparison

How to Read the Drug Test Results:

  • Negative drug test results will show two lines - one line in the control region and one line in the test region.
  • Presumptive positive results will have only one line in the control region. If a test fails to show a line in the control region, this indicates an invalid drug test result.
  • Invalid drug test results occur when no line appears in the control region. Should this occur, repeat the test with a new device. If results are still invalid, please stop using the test cups and contact a TestCountry representative.
